Technical Description:
HFP01 uses a thermopile to measure the temperature gradient across the sensor board. Working in a completely passive manner, the sensor generates a small output voltage proportional to the temperature difference. Assuming that the heat flux is stable, the thermal conductivity of the sensor body is constant, and the influence of the sensor on the heat flow pattern can be ignored, then the signal of HFP01 is directly proportional to the local heat flux.
HFP01 outputs a millivolt signal, and to convert the measured millivolt signal into heat flux, it needs to be divided by the calibration constant of the sensor. Each sensor has a unique calibration constant when it leaves the factory.
